Meet the Team

The Kaesu Team

The Kaesu team has significant industry experience.  Our two founders have 10 and 25 years experience respectively, working with community newspapers and have both been Internet pioneers since 1995.

Peter, Cofounder/CEO
(We call him "The Visionary")

Peter is the founder of Kaesu and responsible for the vision of this business model.  Peter has ten years of strategic Internet related business experience working with web platforms for newspapers and small businesses.  In 1995, Peter cofounded Tri-Comm Enterprises, an Internet development company providing dynamic publishing and content management platforms to small/medium sized businesses and newspapers.  Tri-Comm provided its services to the association of the Independent Free Papers of America (IFPA) and worked very closely with many of its members.   Tri-Comm was extremely successful working with newspapers during its first two years of existence, establishing a large base of customers and strategic partnerships.  The company was sold in 1997 to a large newspaper publishing and communications company.   Peter has also held multiple management positions at AT&T, most recently as Web Development Director of AT&T Global Services Corporate Intranet group,  and at Computer Horizons Corporation, an e-business consulting firm, as a Senior Project Manager and New Business Development Manager, designing, managing and implementing large-scale web based applications.  Pete is the visionary of the Kaesu Company, and is instrumental in assembling the best partners, customers and resources to successfully execute the company's business plan.  A graduate of Rutgers University, Peter received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, and studied for an M.B.A. in finance at William Paterson University.

Joe, Cofounder — VP Sales and Marketing - Newspaper Industry Veteran
(We call him "The Sales Guy")

As cofounder, Joe has perfected the concept of partnering with community papers.   Joe has been in the publishing business for over 20 years and has been selling both print and online advertising to small businesses for 25 years and 10 years respectively.  He has been a director and past President of the Independent Free Papers of America (IFPA), and active in numerous other newspaper associations representing thousands of community newspapers across the country.  For 15 years, Joe was the publisher of the Weekly News in northern New Jersey, one of the most lucrative advertising markets in the country.  His paper was distributed weekly to over 70,000 homes and businesses and generated $2.5 million per year.  Joe recently sold the Weekly News to a large publishing company in New Jersey.  Joe is well known and respected in the newspaper industry and will be instrumental in helping the company build strategic partnerships with associations and acquiring additional newspaper customers nationally.  Joe's sales and sales management expertise will allow him to lead the company's sales force to aggressively solicit the Kaesu program to small businesses in each newspaper's market.

Jay, CTO  — The Mastermind of our technology platform.
(We call him "Jack of All Trades")

Jay created the initial code base for the Kaesu platform and has been instrumental in delivering key functionality for our newspapers and advertisers.  Jay has over 20 years of IT experience and is the guru behind the Kaesu technology platform.  He has significant experience with mid-range platforms and web-based solutions, and has worked with companies such as Mead and The Iams Co., as well as many SMEs, to build easy to use, robust web sites.  Jay has experience with IBM mid-range systems, UNIX/Linux server deployments, DB2/Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server databases, and experience in IT in health care, long term care, manufacturing, cargo and shipping. Jay will be responsible for overseeing the platform development and technical support arm of the company.

Perry, Creative Director
(He makes everything look good.  We call him "Creative Genius")

Perry is responsible for ensuring the user interfaces of the Kaesu platform are professionally designed and functional.  He also works with our newspaper customers and advertisers to help create high quality web site designs. Perry has solid design experience in a number of different mediums. His background spans 15 years with broadcast, interactive multimedia, marketing communications, print, and website design. Some of the larger clients that he's designed for are Harley-Davidson, Thermo Electron, LexisNexis, NCR, Mead Paper, Minolta, Reynolds and Reynolds and Washington Mutual. Perry graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Ultimately drawn to the Internet, he accepted an opportunity to lead a web design department for a top-ten, internationally known Architecture and Retail Design firm, Design Forum. After that, he went to work for an IT services company called Meritage Technologies and most recently as the senior designer of the eMarketing group at LexisNexis.

Kevin, Lead Developer
(Who would have thought you could do that?  We call him "AJAX Man")

Kevin has been instrumental in taking the Kaesu platform to the leading edge of web design.  Leveraging Asynchonous Javascript and XML, Kevin is transforming the Kaesu platform into a Rich Internet Application (RIA) that is ahead of its time.
